Neighborhood Aerial Shot Hero

For Our Neighbors

We've been a proud and active member of the Lincoln Highlands-Oakmore-Dimond community for over half a century. We are also committed to maintaining a presence that strengthens our community in significant ways, from making it safer with a patrolling security staff to our ongoing participation in local community engagement initiatives. Head-Royce strives to be a considerate and cooperative member of the neighborhood, and we believe that clear and ongoing communication is vital. We hope this webpage serves as a valuable resource in fostering open and constructive dialogue with our neighbors.

Parking and Traffic

Parking and Traffic

To mitigate the impact of the school on our neighbors' quality of life and to keep the School in compliance with the City of Oakland's requirements, we have created a set of traffic and parking rules outlined in our Transportation Policy Guide. As a condition of enrollment, parents and guardians must agree to abide by the parking and traffic guidelines outlined in it.

South Campus Plan

South Campus Plan

Over ten years ago, Head-Royce was able to purchase eight acres of land directly across the street from our current campus—a rare opportunity for a school in an urban area. After years of thoughtful collaboration with key stakeholders, including our neighbors, the school broke ground on the South Campus in October 2023, with expected completion in 2025. If you have any issues related to the South Campus construction project, please complete this form.

Neighborhood Liaison Committee (NLC)

The Neighborhood Liaison Committee (NLC) was formed in July 2017 as a forum to maintain open lines of communication and address any concerns that may arise among neighbors. Representatives from the surrounding neighborhood meet with Head-Royce administrators at least twice a year, with additional optional meetings as the need arises.
